Regenerate Africa (RA) is seeking a highly experienced consultant or consultancy firm to undertake a dual-phase assignment: a comprehensive evaluation of our current 2022–2026 Strategic Plan, and the co-development of our forward-looking 2027–2031 Strategic Plan. As we approach the conclusion of our current strategic cycle, this assignment will help reposition RA as a distinctly competitive, high-impact organization advancing regenerative human development across East Africa and the broader global landscape.
The Scope of Work
The selected consultant will lead a participatory, evidence-based process under the direct supervision of the Executive Director.
Key tasks include:
- Strategic Review (2022–2026): Assessing targets, evaluating financial performance, mapping stakeholders, and conducting a comprehensive SWOT/PESTLE analysis.
- Strategic Plan Development (2027–2031): Formulating a robust 5-year strategy aligned with Uganda’s National Development Plan IV (NDP IV), regional climate commitments, and gender-responsive frameworks.
- Framework Architecture: Defining a clear Theory of Change, a standalone Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) system, a financial roadmap, and an operational risk register.
Required Profile & Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following essential criteria:
- Education: A Master’s degree or higher in Development Studies, Environmental Sciences, Strategic Management, or a closely related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 7–10 years of proven experience in strategic planning and organizational development within East African NGOs or civil society.
- Expertise: Demonstrable technical knowledge in the health-climate change nexus, gender-responsive programming, regenerative development, and ESG/sustainability frameworks.
- Facilitation: Proven experience leading multi-stakeholder processes and high-level validation workshops with board members, donors, and grassroots partners.
