Regenerate Africa implements a Volunteer and internship Programme with an objective of motivating and enabling people from diverse segments of society and industry to further apply and develop their specialized skills, time and the talents while contributing to institutional development.
Ms. Denise Najuuko is an intern at Regenerate Africa, and she is one of the current beneficiaries of this Volunteer and Internship Programme. She has been hosted at Regenerate Africa for a period of 2 months since October 2023.
Denise is a young professional currently pursuing her studies in a Bachelor of Science with a major in Environmental Science at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax. Her academic growth interests and ambitions include water and soil health as well as climate adaptations.
The overall objective of her internship placement at Regenerate Africa is “to enhance her knowledge and skills for application of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) principles, concepts & practices in projects design and implementation.” The specific objectives include:
- Participate in ESG engagements (both organized by Regenerate Africa & Partners) for personal awareness, skills and knowledge building.
- Participate/contribute to engagements for programme design and implementation of the Regenerate Africa ESG, Nature and Sustainability theme.
Denise will be implementing specific activities aligned to successfully deliver on the objectives of her the internship placement. She is being supervised by Dr. Susan Nakanwagi (Ph.D.), the Nature and Sustainability Lead at Regenerate Africa. Through this supervision she will be able to provide guided support during Regenerate Africa Programme design and implementation. In these engagements, she will achieve the objectives of her internship placement at Regenerate Africa.
In this context therefore, Regenerate Africa Management cordially welcomes aboard Ms. Denise Najuuko to Regenerate Africa. She is hereby introduced to Regenerate Africa Development Partners, Stakeholders and the general public.
