Climate change, biodiversity loss and degradation of ecosystems are linked and all have devastating consequences for our economic and social stability, health and well- being. Regenerate Africa engages in nature-based solutions and enterprises through designing, implementing and managing innovative and diversified locally appropriate and sustainable economic actions, value chains, investments and enterprises that address challenges such as climate change and provide human well-being and biodiversity benefits by protecting, sustainably managing and restoring ecosystems.
Regenerate Africa is committed to supporting companies, businesses, and organisations to assess the full potential of their sustainability efforts and analyse implications for portfolio, green growth, and decarbonisation. We support capacity building for employees, executives, and the board; establish an operating model to deliver Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) goals, including incentives and talent needed; and build infrastructure for tracking and reporting progress. We support the integration of ESG strategy for companies, businesses and organisations, set up aspirations and design specific ESG initiatives, including business case and implementation considerations.
In collaboration with the CEO Summit Uganda, Regenerate Africa is hosting a CEO Summit Sustainability Centre to provide education, advice, research, tools and certifications on ESG and Sustainability best practices and solutions. The Centre benefits from our eco-friendly facilities and nature-based enterprises, including the office premises at Konge Hill, the Great Outdoors, Kalanamu and Nalumuli Bay Ecosystem. Thus, Regenerate Africa provides a framework for private sector investments for offsetting their carbon footprints as a contribution towards net zero.
Regenerate Africa partnered with DCarbon Egypt to develop and advance an ESG Sustainability ecosystem and necessary human capacities for the private sector, government, and non-governmental organisations and regulatory authorities in Uganda and the rest of East Africa, ensuring that they carry out Sustainability linked programs, align business practices and financing flows against sustainable financing principles, enhance transparency and strengthen governance that benefits business, people, nature and the climate.
