Stella Is Currently the Programme Coordinator for Humundi in Uganda, since April 2024. She has over 17 years of senior leadership experience with nonprofit organizations, 15 ½ of which she spent as the Country Coordinator of Participatory Ecological Land Use Management (PELUM) Uganda and 1 ½ as the Director Strategy & Growth at CivSource Africa. She has experience working in the areas of agriculture and rural development with a focus on
Agroecology, education, leadership, philanthropy and Civil Society strengthening. She also has experience in consulting in the areas of Governance, leadership, management and financial resilience for nonprofits.
Stella’s key competences include governance, leadership, management, NGO networks coordination and management, developing multi-stakeholder platforms, networking and partnership building, fundraising and building organizational financial resilience, grant management and donor compliance, developing and reviewing organizational systems and policies, coaching and mentoring leaders, financial oversight and controls, risk management,
development and overseeing implementation and reviews of strategic plans, managing projects at various levels, organizational capacity strengthening, Team management, managing subgrants as well as managing board relations, board trainings and transitions.
On 31st May 2021, Stella was awarded Honorary membership to the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation for her outstanding leadership of PELUM Uganda and contribution to the Agroecology movement and improved livelihoods of smallholder farmers in Uganda
